AFEMS has been continuously used in design and analyze in different manufacturing and research areas. Some of the results has been listed as follow:
"Nonlinear finite element analysis of pacemaker lead design", S. Borgersen and H. Moradi
"Virtual Prototyping of sheet metal parts using CATIA", S. Borgersen and T. Hall
October 1999: AFEMS was used to determine the behavior of a tube during a tube hydroforming process.
Images: Original Tube, the thickness after forming, the stress at the end of forming,
October 1999: AFEMS was used to determine the net flat shape for a very complex stamping part, provided by Wolvorine Industries, with 0.0004 accuracy. Due to the confidentiality of the part, there is no image available.
Machine Design, July 1999:
"Energy method builds part shape and tool"
"Design guidelines for hydroforming"
Overhaul and Maintenance, September 1998:
"Affordable Sheet Metal Remanufacturing", B. Long
